Introduction

Chowon (초원) is a South Korean singer and actress under Cube Entertainment. She made her official debut on June 10, 2021 as the main vocalist of the girl group Lightsum.

As a trainee, she was known for appearing and competing on the hit survival show 'Produce 48' where she represented Cube Entertainment, ranking 13th place in the final episode, which rendered her unable to debut with IZ*ONE. However, it was later revealed that Chowon was a victim of voting manipulation and Chowon was actually #6 in the final. Despite the circumstances, Chowon continued to train until she was finally able to debut with Lightsum in 2021.
