RIIZE (Korean: 라이즈; Japanese: リーゼ; short for RISE&REALIZE), is a 7-member South Korean boy group that made their debut with "Get a Guitar" under SM Entertainment on September 4, 2023.
The group's name, "RIIZE", was revealed on July 31, 2023, being a combination of the words "rise" and "realize", meaning it is a group that grows and realizes its dreams together, furthermore, SM added, "RIIZE is composed of seven visual and talented members. Each member possesses their own individuality and strengths, and together they will create a 'real-time odyssey' of growth as a team, making history in the world."
On July 2, 2022, Eunseok and Seunghan were revealed as the new members of SM Entertainment's SMROOKIES trainee team. Later in October of the same year, SM's official "Training Unit" account posted images showing the silhouettes of seven boys who were speculated to be the members of their next boy group.
On May 24, 2023, SM Entertainment CEO Jang Cheol Hyuk announced that Eunseok and Seunghan would debut in their next boy group, along with Sungchan and Shotaro, announcing their official departure as members of NCT.
Later, on July 12, 2023, it was reported that SM Entertainment's new group would debut in September and that they were currently filming their music video and making final preparations. Days later, on July 18, it was reported that Lee Chanyoung (Anton), son of composer and singer Yoon Sang, would be one of the members of SM Entertainment's new boy group. In response, SM stated that on August 1, 2023, they would reveal new information about their boy group.
The group generated a lot of buzz and anticipation among fans pre-debut, with their official Instagram account launching on August 1, 2023, and revealing the members for the first time. On August 7, RIIZE further showcased their talents by releasing a captivating performance video of their song “Siren”.

On November 21, 2023, SM Entertainment announced that Seunghan was removed from RIIZE indefinitely after a series of information about his private life was leaked through online channels.
