Introduction
mimiirose (Korean: 미미로즈), formerly known as mimiimiii (미미미), is a South Korean girl group formed under YES IM Entertainment. The group consists of five members: Inn Hyori, Choi Yeonjae, Han Yewon, Yoon Jia, and Seo Yunju. The group debuted on September 16, 2022, with the single “Awesome”, which features the lead track “Rose”. Since March 2024, mimiirose is managed by Pocket7 Entertainment.
The group’s name is a fusion of mimimii, which means beauty, and rose. It compares the petals’ layers to the beauty that is seen and unseen, implying that the members will blossom like a captivating rose.
Members Yoon Jia and Seo Yunju were already known before debut– Jia for being a contestant on "Girls Planet 999" and Yunju for being a pre-debut member of ISE (now bugAboo) and a contestant on "My Teenage Girl" under her birth name: Choi Yunju.
On November 21, 2023 the members had terminated their exclusive contracts with YES IM Entertainment through a mutual agreement.
On March 26, 2024, it was reported that the members had signed an exclusive contract with Pocket7 Entertainment and that they were preparing for a comeback with the addition of two new members. They are scheduled to make their debut as a seven-member group in June 2024.
