On August 8th, SM Entertainment confirmed the rumors about Girls' Generation Sunny's departure from the agency, saying, "Sunny's exclusive contract with us has ended." The agency added, "We would like to express our gratitude to Sunny for showing great activities with our company for a long time. We ask for your support on the new path Sunny will take in the future."
Sunny shared a heartfelt letter to fans and everyone she's ever worked with, including the managers and staff of SM Entertainment.
Sunny confirmed on her instagram post that she's leaving SM. I mean it's not bad bc we also have members who left but stayed as Girls' Generation but it's frustrating that SM didn't seem to care enough to update us about it. 🙄
