YoonA's 17-Year Loyalty: Renews Contract With SM Entertainment For The Third Time

Singer and actress YoonA has renewed her contract with SM Entertainment, cementing a 17-year relationship.

As a result of her OSEN coverage on the 4th, SNSD’s YoonA recently completed renewing her contract with her current agency SM Entertainment, showing her unwavering loyalty for a whopping 17 years since her debut.

YoonA, who debuted with the girl group Girls' Generation in 2007, signed her third contract renewal with SM Entertainment, and it is reported that both parties concluded the renewal amicably based on trust and belief in each other.

YoonA rose to prominence in the entertainment industry through her acting and singing careers. She is well-liked by the public because she has covered a wide range of genres, including entertainment, dramas, and movies for 9 years in a row. Recently, she was MBC's 'Gayo Daejejeon' MC.

In recent years, the actor has received widespread acclaim for his roles in films and dramas. Notably, 'Confidential Assignment' Part 1 and 2 each drew millions of viewers, and 'Exit' in 2019 was a massive success with 9.42 million viewers, earning her the title of Box Office Queen.' Her dramatic performances are equally impressive, with 'Big Mouth' achieving the highest viewership rating of 13.7% and 'King the Land' co-starring Lee Junho recording 13.8% and achieving box office success. During its run, 'King the Land' also topped Netflix's global TOP 10 TV categories in English and non-English. This accomplishment and others led to her being dubbed the ‘Romcom Queen.'

To celebrate the new year, YoonA will tour Asia in a total of 8 cities, starting with the Seoul performance of 'YOONA FAN MEETING TOUR: YOONITE', which will be held at Blue Square Mastercard Hall from January 6th to 7th.

She is also set to make her big-screen comeback with the film '2 O'Clock Date'.
