BTS' Jungkook, (G)I-DLE's Soyeon, and SEVENTEEN’s Vernon Among Promoted Artists to KOMCA Full Members

KOMCA promoted 30 lyricists and composers to full members in 2024.

The Korea Music Copyright Association (KOMCA) announced the list of those promoted to full members for 2024 on its official website. Regular members are selected every year by the Haneum Music Association, which manages the copyright rights of over 51,000 lyricists and composers in trust, based on the highest copyright fee criteria for each membership period.

Those promoted to full members this year include BTS' Jungkook, (G)I-DLE's Soyeon, and SEVENTEEN’s Vernon. Other individuals who have been promoted this year include BOL4 Ahn Jiyoung, Ahn Yeeun, Code Kunst, 250, VERSACHOI, Lee Seuran, Big Naughty, Leellamarz, and TOIL.

In the field of non-popular music, Yoon Hye-jeong (children's songs), Joo Min-jeong (religion), and Lim Kyo-min (traditional Korean music) were promoted to full members, while RAIN (Jeong Ji-hoon) and Lee Sang-min were added to the list as re-promoted artists.

Meanwhile, the Korean Music Copyright Association is an organization that is managing the copyright rights of over 51,000 lyricists and composers in trust as of January 2024. Every year, according to the association's regulations, among associate members, 27 people from the entire music field and 3 from the non-popular music field are promoted to full members according to the higher copyright fee standards for each membership period.
