Actress Tang Wei is making her music video debut, starring alongside IU in the video for a track on the singer’s upcoming EP.
The 'Decision to Leave' actress appeared in the teaser for “'Shh..,” a track on IU’s upcoming EP “The Winning,” posted to IU’s YouTube channel at midnight on Monday.
Tang Wei said, “The reason I participated is simple. It's because I like the artist IU. Just like others, I also admire IU's talent, personality, and songs. Actually, this is the first time I've participated in a music video. I was happy to be with IU and learned a lot on the set.”
“IU played the role of my mother and also my friend, which was a very interesting relationship.” the actress added.
Ahead of the teaser reveal, IU’s agency announced the song would also feature vocals from girl group NewJeans' HYEIN and singer-songwriter Cho Won-sun from Rollercoaster.
An unrevealed person will narrate the music video, according to Edam Entertainment.
“The Winning” drops at 6 PM KST next Tuesday, and the full music video for “'Shh..” will be released at midnight on February 22.
