Loossemble Will Be Keeping Their Rights to Their Name

The girl group Loossemble (Hyunjin, Yeojin, Vivi, Gowon, Hyeju) can keep their name.

According to multiple legal sources, Loossemble’s agency, CTDENM, recently won a lawsuit filed by Blockberry Creative for a temporary injunction, including a performance ban.

Agency Blockberry Creative filed a civil lawsuit against CTDENM, claiming that using 'LOONA', 'LOONA ASSEMBLE', and 'LOOSSEMBLE' in entertainment activities is prohibited.

If Blockberry Creative's claim is accepted, Loossemble cannot use their newly created name. After releasing their debut album and embarking on the 'Loossemble the US Debut Ceremony' tour, a big blow was inevitable.

However, the court's decision will allow Loossemble to continue to use the new name. In addition, a green light was given to Loossemble’s domestic activities that will continue after the U.S. tour.

In particular, it is notable that the court saw that the credit, reputation, and customer attraction added to the names of "Girl of the Month" and "LOONA" belong to the members after the exclusive contract is invalidated. In other words, the ruling has broadened the scope of the future activities of LOONA members who left Blockberry Creative, including Loossemble, CHUU, ARTMS (Heejin, Haseul, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry), and Yves.

Meanwhile, Loossemble released their debut album "Loossemble" on the 15th and is touring for "Loossemble: The U.S. Debut Ceremony."

Regarding the other members of LOONA, ARTMS's sub-group, ODD EYE CIRCLE, made their re-debut earlier this year. Heejin will release a solo album, while Haseul will hold a small theater concert. CHUU is set to debut as a solo artist on October 18th. Yves has announced that she is also preparing to pursue a solo career.
