SHINee's Taemin Mentions Jonghyun

SHINee's Taemin recalled the late Jonghyun.

On October 31st, Taemin appeared on the web show 'LeeMujin Service,' sharing stories about his music path and performing for the viewers. He particularly showed off his vocal skills by covering songs of other singers such as Sung Si Kyung's "I'm Touched By You," THERAY's "Clean Up," and Girls Generation's "Into The New World."

On the reason why he chose "Clean Up," Taemin said, "This song was a song that our member Jonghyun practiced a lot. Because he was so good at singing, I thought, ‘Wow, that’s cool,’ and from the time he was preparing for his debut, I watched him, sang along, and practiced together."

"I've been with the members for a long time. I chose this song because I thought it would be nice to sing it with my own mindset even though this song is actually a breakup song," he said, expressing his affection for the song.

Taemin made his debut in the music industry with SHINee back in 2008. He established himself as the team's main dancer and debuted as a solo artist in 2014. The late Jonghyun passed away in December 2017. Since then, SHINee has been active as a four-member group.
