On November 16th, Korean media outlets revealed that (G)I-DLE's Miyeon will leave her MC position on M Countdown after 2 years and 9 months, becoming the longest-serving MC on the program. Her final broadcast will be on the same day, 16th, and before that she will express her gratitude and perform a special stage for her fans who have supported and cheered her on for a long time.
In addition, Miyeon sent a sincere message through her agency Cube Entertainment, saying, "Thanks to 'M Countdown,' which has been with me for half of my activities since debut, every Thursday was warm and happy. Thank you so much for your love."
On February 18, 2021, Miyeon was selected as the new face of Mnet's music program 'M Countdown' along with actor Nam Yoon-su, and since then she has been showing off her outstanding hosting skills. After Nam Yoon Su left the program, she was partnered with Monsta X's Joohoney, followed by ZEROBASEONE's Sung Hanbin.
