The identity of Big Hit Music's mysterious artist has finally been revealed!
On May 15th, Big Hit Music and HYBE IM held a media conference to commemorate the release of MIDNATT's digital single "Masquerade."
MIDNATT is the main character of the 'Project L', which HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk mentioned in an interview on the cover of the US Billboard magazine. From the moment MIDNATT was first introduced through mysterious teasers, fans have been been guessing who or what MIDNATT is about—whether it's a new idol group, solo, or even a virtual artist.
On the day of the conference, MIDNATT was revealed to be the alter-ego of power vocalist Lee Hyun.
"I'm a new singer, MIDNATT. It's awkward to say hello with a name other than Lee Hyun, but I'm excited and nervous. Please look forward to the music and activities that MIDNATT will deliver," the singer said.
