From BLIT to EVNNE — Jellyfish Announces the Name Change of 'Boys Planet' Boy Group

On August 9th, Jellyfish Entertainment announced that upcoming boy group BLIT has changed their name to EVNNE and will speed up preparations for their debut. The group first caught attention as it consists of seven fan-favorite trainees from the hit 2023 survival show, 'Boys Planet.'

According to reports, the group name was changed after the agency discovered about the negave hidden meaning in the word 'Blit' and how it could lead to misunderstanding in the future.

The newly introduced team name, 'EVNNE', was the name that Jellyfish and the members called like a nickname after the outline of the team was first revealed. After discovering a problem with 'Blit,' Jellyfish consulted with the members to make the final choice, and 'EVNNE' was eventually picked as the final group name.

'EVNNE' means 'EVENing's Newest Etoiles' and is a combination of different words, containing the meaning of a new star rising in the night sky. In particular, 'Etoile' is a word meaning a star in English, and has the same transcription and meaning in French as it is used in various countries, and contains the aspirations of 'EVNNE' to shine from any angle.

Jellyfish Entertainment said, "Like the newly introduced team name, we will show a more perfect image by reflecting on new resolutions and bold goals. We fully support all activities of 'EVNNE' and will work together for the best results."

Keita, Park Hanbin, Yoo Seung Eon, Ji Yun Seo, Lee Jeong Hyeon, Mun Jung Hyun, and Park Ji Hoo will make their official debut as members of the boy group EVNNE later this year.
