OMEGA X Denies Spire Entertainment's Sexual Assault Allegations

The group Omega X and the former CEO of the agency are continuing to fight each other.

The incident, which took place two years ago, was brought to the surface by a press conference of the members who had been courageous about the former CEO's abuse of power, but the investigative agency's strict judgment became more urgent as the former CEO of the agency, who was named as the perpetrator at the time, suddenly sued one member, claiming that "I am the victim."

The dispute between Omega X and its former agency Spire Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Spire) began in November 2022 when Omega X insisted that former CEO Kang assaulted the members, sexually harassed them, and coerced them through a press conference. At the press conference at the time, Omega X members shocked everyone by claiming that they had been sexually harassed by former CEO Kang frequently, including gas lighting and power abuse.

Spire, which had been in conflict since the members' disclosure, held a press conference on the 19th and pointed out Omega X member Hwichan as the perpetrator of forced harassment and appealed for damage to former CEO Kang. In particular, Spire launched a counterattack by releasing CCTV footage showing Hwichan and former CEO Kang at the time of the incident.

According to representative Hwang Sung-woo, who attended the press conference, the members who finished their work returned to their accommodation on July 10, 2022, the day of the incident, and some members had a drink at the office and talked about the military enlistment issue. Former representative Kang was working late at night to prepare for the tour, and Kang, who found that the members drank too much, organized the drinking party, but Hwichan asked for a conversation with representative Kang, saying, "I have something to say."

Hwang said, "I was comforting him by asking him to find a way to postpone his enlistment, but A suddenly molested Kang. CEO Kang pushed A out his hand and put him in his seat, but A did not give up and forced her to take off her top and make physical contact." He then said, "CEO Kang shook off her clothes and admonished him, but despite that, A stood up and pressed it with his power and continued the forced harassment."

However, Omega X said, "It's not true," and made a strong stance that it would sue Spire for false accusations. "In fact, Hwichan's warrant for joining the military in 2022 was issued on August 1st and was notified of his enlistment around mid-September. On the day of the drinking party, no warrant was even issued for the military," he said. "The story that they were together to resolve their concerns after the warrant was issued proves that the claim is false."

IPQ claimed that former CEO Kang has consistently shown abusive language, assault, gaslighting, forcing of touch and affection toward Omega X members, and revealed, "It was former CEO Kang who demanded a solo meeting with Hwichan on the day of the incident, and Kang demanded excessive expression of affection and touch as usual after everyone except Hwichan left their seats."

"Since there was no group with him, Hwichan, who was afraid of threatening remarks, verbal abuse, and assault to return if he did not comply, had to follow the instructions," he said. "Spire described it as a 'forced molestation', but even in the CCTV footage released, we cannot confirm that Hwichan 's actions were not forced, and the other party expressed its intention to refuse." "Hwichan fell asleep drunk after being forced to touch the former CEO several times, and after that, Kang took a picture of Hwichan's sleeping form and sent it to the former manager, who said he would pick up the drunk Hwichan, and did something that did not fit the situation where she claimed he had "forced assaulted the person" by dissuading his manager who said he would take him in person," he revealed.

"The released CCTV footage alone does not prove Spire's claim, and not correcting the claim even though it cannot be fully proven is more fatal than anything else for celebrities who continue their professional activities in the eyes of countless people," the agency said, calling for the release of all CCTV data on the day of the incident and the day after without editing. What is clear in the present situation is that one side is telling the truth and the other is telling the lie. Now the time for the argument is over, only proof remains. The proof is up to the investigating agency.
