Girl group ITZY topped the Worldwide iTunes album chart with their first comeback "BORN TO BE" in 2024.
ITZY's new mini album "BORN TO BE" topped the iTunes album chart on Wednesday. It also topped the iTunes album chart in 23 foreign countries including the U.S., Brazil, Thailand, France, and Australia as of Tuesday morning. Analysts say that it signaled the new year's activities of the "global girl group."
On January 8th, the day of the album's release, ITZY topped the real-time and daily album chart of Hanteo Chart, a record aggregation site. In particular, the title track "UNTOUCHABLE" was on the real-time chart of Korean music sites, including Melon's Top 100 and Hot 100, while the tracks "BORN TO BE," "Mr. Vampire" and "Dynamite" were also on the Melon Hot 100 chart.
"UNTOUCHABLE" is described as a dance-pop track that features strong guitar tunes, alongside EDM sounds that sings of combatting the hardships of reality with strength and confidence. As of the morning of the 9th, the music video for the song ranked first in the list YouTube's music video Trending Worldwide.
Meanwhile, ITZY's dance practice video for "UNTOUCHABLE" is also receiving enthusiastic response online. Positive reviews are pouring in from Kpop fans because of their cool and clean performance.
