On January 5th, Mnet announced that they had selected BOYNEXTDOOR's Jaehyun and RIIZE's Sohee as the newest MC of M Countdown, succeeding (G)I-DLE's Miyeon who served as the MC from February 2021 until November 2023. Mnet said, "They will officially be working as MCs starting from the live broadcast on Thursday, the 11th of February."
Jaehyun and Sohee will form a 3-MC system with ZEROBASEONE's Sung Hanbin, who was selected as an official MC back in September last year.
The production team of 'M Countdown' said, "We are expecting to create an even younger and trendier synergy with the new MC team, who are all born in the 2000s and are super rookies who showed outstanding performance last year."
Before being announced as official MCs, Jaehyun and Sohee already stood on stage with Sung Hanbin when they served as special MCs of M Countdown last November, giving fans a glimpse of their chemistry as top rookies of Kpop.
