On January 15th, Korean media outlets reported that Red Velvet's Wendy is gearing up for a solo comeback in February and that she's currently in the final stages of album preparations.
Regarding this, SM Entertainment released a statement through Dispatch, saying, "Wendy is preparing for the release of a new solo album." However, the agency declined to release additional details, and will only share the schedule once it is confirmed.
This new album comes about three years since Wendy made her solo debut with her first mini album 'Like Water' in April 2021, which achieved great results domestically and internationally. In particular, it ranked #1 on the iTunes Top Album Chart in 30 regions around the world at the time of its release. With this, attention is focused on what kind of music Wendy will share and the new heights she will achieve.
