On October 17th, SM Entertainment announced, "The exclusive contract between SM and EXO members signed at the end of last year is valid, and EXO's activities will continue at SM."
The announcement came after rumors circulated that EXO's Chanyeol and Sehun is leaving SM Entertainment to sign an exclusive contract with a new agency in order to pursue more diverse individual activities, and will only do group actitivies under SM Entertainment.
SM explained that although they drew a line on the possibility of the two transferring, they are allowing individual activities carried out through corporations established by the members themselves.
SM added, "Under the exclusive contract with SM, we have decided to conditionally allow individual activities to be carried out through a corporation established by the member if the member so wishes."
