Jo Yuri and T.O.P Confirmed to Join "Squid Game 2"

On June 29th, Netflix revealed the cast of the highly-anticipated "Squid Game 2," including Park Gyu-young, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-wook, Noh Jae-won, Won Ji-an, Jo Yuri, and Choi Seung-hyun.

Former IZ*ONE member Jo Yuri recently made headlines after Korean media outlets revealed her casting, which earned a brief response from Jo Yuri's agency and Netflix.

Meanwhile, the casting of Choi Seung Hyun, also known as BIGBANG's T.O.P, surprised everyone as the rapper-actor had been inactive from the acting industry since the Naver TV drama "The Secret Message" was released in 2015.

Previously, it was revealed that actors Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun, and Gong Yoo were reprising their roles for the second season of the hit drama, joined by 'new players' singer-actor Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun.

Besides the casting news, Netflix also gave fans a sneak peek of the cast's first script-reading.

"Squid Game 2" will begin filming in the second half of this year.
