On February 25th, Korean media outlets reported that BLANK2Y's Youngbin would be stepping down from the group after it was revealed that he was idol "B" in the dating assault that made headlines on the same day.

BLANK2Y's agency, Keystone Entertainment, said, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern to many people, including fans," adding, "As a result of checking the facts regarding the matter raised through an online community today, it was confirmed that the person involved was Youngbin."

According to the agency, Youngbin will be leaving the team, and the group will reorganize as an eight-member group.

"Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and concern to many people, including fans, regarding member Youngbin. We will do our best to show BLANK2Y's growth as an artist," the agency added.
