Park Ji-Young (박지영), best known by the stage name Kahi (가희) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress currently signed under Bonboo Entertainment. She was a member of the South Korean K-pop girl group, After School, and their sub-unit, A.S. Red (After School Red) under Pledis Entertainment. She debuted with the group on January 15th, 2009, with the single, "New Schoolgirl".
SM Entertainment gave Kahi a temporary position as a backup dancer for South Korean singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress, BoA, which then became a full-time position as she gradually gained fame as a dancer. Around 2006, Kahi has been working as a professional dancer for more than five years.
Kahi began working as a singer and joined the Korean-American girl group, "S.Blush", whose first digital single peaked at No.2 on the Billboard Hot Dance Chart in May 2007. However, due to various reasons, the band soon disbanded. Kahi began planning to produce the South Korean K-pop girl group, After School, with the current CEO of Pledis Entertainment. On December 29th, 2008, Kahi and the other After School members made their unofficial appearance at the SBS Song Festival. Kahi and former After School member, Jungah performed "Play Girlz".
On February 14th, 2011, Kahi released her own mini-album and music video for "Come Back, You Bad Person". She also began her promotional activities as a soloist on February 18th, 2011.
On June 5th, 2012, Pledis Entertainment announced that Kahi would graduate from the group as she would pursue a solo career, as well as to study acting, although she stayed with the group until September to help with promotions. Despite the fact Kahi left the group after promotions, it was announced by the company that she would stay with the agency. However, on January 19th, 2015, Kahi confirmed on her Twitter account that her contract with Pledis Entertainment had expired.
