Bang Yongguk (방용국) is a South Korean rapper, songwriter, and producer under YY Entertainment and CONSENT. He is a member of the boy group B.A.P and its subunit Bang & Zelo.
In 2008, he debuted as member of the underground hip-hop group Soul Connection under the stage name 'Jepp Blackman'. He then signed with TS Entertainment and was featured in Song Ji Eun's single "Crazy" in 2011, which attracted a lot of attention.
He released his first single "I Remember" on August 12, 2011 and was part of the sub-unit duo Bang & Zelo with fellow labelmate Zelo later that year.
He debuted in B.A.P on January 26, 2012 with their first single "Warrior".
He left B.A.P on August 19, 2018 following the expiration of his contract with TS Entertainment.
On September 15, he announced that he has set up a one-man agency called CONSENT and that he will be making a solo comeback.
On November 17, he announced his comeback with the digital single "Race", set to be released on November 23.
On February 12, 2022, he posted a teaser on Instagram for his upcoming EP 2, set to be released on March 2.
In an article on W Korea, it was revealed that his next album will be released this fall but was ultimately pushed back.
On March 30, 2023, YY Entertainment announced that Bang Yongguk signed an exclusive contract with them as their first artist.
On April 12, 2023, he announced his comeback with his first (labeled as second) mini album The Colors of Love, set to be released on May 2. A pre-release single, "Green", was released on April 17.
Yongguk enlisted on August 1, 2019, as a public service worker. He was discharged on May 18, 2021.
