Introduction

Choi Whee-Sung (최휘성), known as Wheesung, and the new stage name Realslow, is a South Korean singer, actress, and record producer under his own independent label called Realslow Company. Wheesung signed under YG Entertainment in 2000 and went under 2 years' worth of vocal training. He made his solo debut on April 3rd, 2002 with his studio album, Like A Movie.

Following Wheesung's contract expiration with YG Entertainment, he signed a new contract that was reportedly worth 1.5 million won with his new company, Orange Shock Agency. On June 23rd, 2009, Wheesung changed his label from Orange Shock to POP/UP Entertainment due to former agency representative, Park Gun-Tae decided to focus solely on music.

Wheesung started his career in 1997 as a member of a back dancing team, ING. However, his career began in 1999 when he was in a short-lived South Korean K-pop boy group, A4. Unfortunately, he left the group after the band's debut album due to his citations of musical differences.

On September 14th, 2011, Wheesung transferred to YMC Entertainment where he recruited South Korean female soloist, Ailee. On August 29th, 2017, Wheesung left YMC Entertainment after the expiration of his contract. However, he set up an independent label called Realslow Company. Following his new company, he will now be promoting under the stage name, Realslow.
