On January 29th, WHYNOT Media announced the production of upcoming drama "Heo's Restaurant" along with it's impressive lineup of cast, which includes EXO's Xiumin, WJSN's Exy, Lee Sae On (Boss Dol-Mart), and Lee Soo Min (Twinkling Watermelon, Revenge of Others).
Based on a web novel of the same name, "Heo's Restaurant" is described as a fantasy romance comedy drama about Heo Gyun, a controversial figure from the Joseon Dynasty, who moves to modern times 400 years later and unintentionally runs a restaurant.
Xiumin will take on the titular role of Heo Gyung, a self-proclaimed genius with outstanding skills and appearance. He was sent into exile but flees upon hearing that seven of his friends were accused of treason. Assassins suddenly appear in front of him, raising expectations for the future of Heo Gyun, who suddenly ends up in Yuldo Province while on the verge of death.
Meanwhile, Exy will play the role of Eunsil, the daughter of a baekban restaurant owner. She is described as a person who cannot tolerate injustice and has to speak her mind at all times. One day, she sees the homeless and injured Heo Gyung right in front of her restaurant.
The production team of 'Heo's Restaurant' said, "'Heo's Restaurant' will provide great fun with Heo Gyun's extensive adaptation to modern life, who happened to travel back in time to modern times," adding, "Please look forward to the chemistry between Xiumin, Exy, Lee Sae On, and Lee Soomin."
